What it does

Send Email is an aeon skill: Compose and send a one-off email to a named recipient via Resend - written in the operator's voice, then sent in-run through the shared send caps with an operator audit copy. Like every aeon skill it is one SKILL.md prompt file that runs unattended on your own GitHub Actions, on a schedule or when you trigger it, and sends what it finds to Telegram, Discord, Slack or email.

This is not a bulk or cold-outreach tool. One deliberate recipient per run, with a genuine reason to write. If the request reads as mass-mailing, list-blasting, or spam, refuse and log SEND_EMAIL_REFUSED: not a 1:1 purposeful email.

Input: the var setting

Every aeon skill takes one optional text input, var, set in aeon.yml or typed in when you run it by hand. It picks the target or the mode for that run.

Who to email and why, e.g. to=jane@acme.com | subject=Intro | about=propose a 20-min call on X. Freeform also works ("email jane@acme.com to follow up on yesterday's demo"). cc= is optional. The reply-shape revise:<instruction> (Telegram force-reply, e.g. revise:make it warmer) refines the last composed draft for review only - it never sends.

What it needs

Besides the model you connected to aeon, Send Email uses the following. Add secrets as GitHub Actions secrets on your aeon repo, or in Aeon Connect.

  • RESEND_API_KEY - optional secret, unlocks more data or features
  • RESEND_FROM - optional secret, unlocks more data or features
  • RESEND_REPLY_TO - optional secret, unlocks more data or features

Install and run it

Easiest: open Aeon Connect, sign in with GitHub and turn on Send Email. No clone, no terminal. To add it to an existing aeon repo from a shell, run:

bin/add-skill aeonfun/aeon send-email

Then switch it on in aeon.yml (the default schedule is filled in):

skills:
  send-email: { enabled: true, schedule: "workflow_dispatch", var: "" }
