Soul
Give your Aeon agent a distinct writing voice using soul/SOUL.md, STYLE.md, and calibration examples.
By default Aeon writes in a flat, direct, neutral tone. Adding files under soul/ gives your agent a specific voice across every notification, report, and social draft.

CLAUDE.md instructs skills to check soul/ before writing any human-facing output:
## Voice
If soul/ files exist, read them before writing any notification
or output - to match the operator's voice. Skip if the soul
directory is empty or absent.
Soul file hierarchy (read in this order):
- soul/SOUL.md - identity, worldview, opinions, background
- soul/STYLE.md - sentence structure, vocabulary, anti-patterns
- soul/examples/ - calibration material (good + bad outputs)
- soul/data/ - raw source material; browse, don't copy-pasteSpecificity test
A SOUL.md only works when its opinions are specific enough that a competitor would disagree with them. If anyone in your field could sign the same SOUL.md, make it sharper.
Building with soul.md
Use the aeonfun/soul.md companion repository or the built-in soul-builder skill: drop raw posts or transcripts into soul/data/ and run /soul-builder to synthesize SOUL.md, STYLE.md, and calibration examples.
