Is aeon a hosted API or SaaS?

No. aeon is a framework you fork and run on your own GitHub Actions. There is no public REST endpoint to call - the unit of integration is a skill (a SKILL.md with a schedule and when-to-use guidance).

How do I get started with aeon?

Paste one line into any coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor): "read https://www.aeon.fun/skills/aeon.md and follow the instructions to set up your aeon agent". It forks aeon, authenticates a model, wires a notification channel, and schedules the first skill.

How much does aeon cost?

aeon itself is free and open source under the MIT license. You pay only for what it runs on: GitHub Actions minutes and your own model API usage (an Anthropic/Claude key to start).

Is aeon affiliated with AEON payments or aeon-toolkit?

No. aeon (the agent framework at aeon.fun) is not affiliated with AEON, the agentic-economy payments network, or with aeon-toolkit, the Python time-series machine-learning library.

These terms cover the aeon.fun website and the aeon software. aeon is open-source software you run on your own GitHub account and infrastructure; when you self-host it, you operate it under your own keys, configuration, and judgment, and these terms govern the website and the license under which the software is provided, not the actions your own agent takes.

Acceptance

By using aeon.fun or the aeon software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. If you use them on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

The software is open-source

aeon is released under the MIT License. That license is the authoritative grant of rights for the code: you may use, copy, modify, and distribute it under its terms. Where anything here appears to conflict with the MIT License as it applies to the code, the license controls for the code.

Provided “as is”

The website, the software, and any plugins or skills we publish are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aeon Inc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, funds, or profits, arising from your use of them.

Running your own instance

When you self-host aeon or install an aeon plugin, you are responsible for your own repository, secrets, model-provider keys, and the actions your agent performs. The software drives your instance through your own authenticated tools; your credentials stay in your infrastructure, and their security and usage costs are yours to manage. You are responsible for complying with the terms of every third-party service your agent uses.

Acceptable use

Do not use aeon.fun or the software to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attack or overload infrastructure you do not own, or bypass the access controls of any service. Do not misrepresent an affiliation with Aeon Inc or use our name or marks in a way that implies endorsement you do not have.

Wallet sign-in & swaps

The optional “Buy $aeon” feature lets you sign in with a wallet and route swaps through third-party providers. Onchain transactions are public, permanent, and irreversible. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and $aeon is not an offer or solicitation of any security. You are solely responsible for your own transactions and for any gas or fees they incur. If you never sign in or swap, none of this applies.

Third-party services

Some features rely on third-party providers - analytics, wallet and auth, and swap routing among them. Your use of those features is also subject to the providers’ own terms, and we are not responsible for their services. See the privacy policy for how data flows to them.

Intellectual property

The aeon source code is licensed under MIT. The aeon and Aeon Inc names, logos, and brand marks are not covered by that license and remain the property of Aeon Inc; do not use them to imply endorsement or affiliation without permission.

Changes & termination

We may update these terms as the site and software evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may modify or discontinue any part of the website at any time.
