Reactive Triggers
Fire skills automatically on runtime conditions in cron-state.json such as consecutive failures or status changes.
While cron schedules handle fixed times, reactive triggers fire skills with schedule: "reactive" whenever runtime conditions in memory/cron-state.json match.
Defining Triggers
Add a reactive: block to aeon.yml (shipped commented out by default so self-repair stays opt-in):
reactive:
skill-repair:
trigger:
- { on: "*", when: "consecutive_failures >= 3" }
autoresearch:
trigger:
- { on: "skill-health", when: "last_status = success" }Trigger Conditions
on: "*"matches any skill incron-state.json; pass a specific slug (e.g.on: "skill-health") to watch one skill.when:supports three predicates evaluated on each scheduler tick:consecutive_failures >= Nsuccess_rate <op> X(whereXis0.0to1.0)last_status = <value>(successorfailed)
- Reactive skills do not need a cron expression - the scheduler dispatches them as soon as their condition matches.
