Scheduling

All skill schedules live in aeon.yml using standard 5-field UTC cron syntax.

Scheduler RulesCopy Anchor Link

• Parallel dispatch: .github/workflows/scheduler.yml ticks every 5 minutes by default and dispatches every due skill in parallel.
• Dependency ordering: Skills that declare depends_on: in their frontmatter wait for upstream skills to complete first.
• Heartbeat fallback: heartbeat is the only skill enabled out of the box and sits last in aeon.yml by convention.
• Tunable tick cadence: On private repositories where GitHub Actions minutes are metered, widen the cron in .github/workflows/scheduler.yml from */5 to */15 or 0 *.

Model SelectionCopy Anchor Link

Set a default model at the top of aeon.yml and override individual skills as needed:

• claude-sonnet-5-5 - default for routine execution and monitoring.
• claude-opus-5-5 - deep reasoning, security audits, and code generation.
• claude-haiku-5-5 - post-run 1-5 quality scoring and lightweight transforms.

Per-skill model: and harness: overrides in aeon.yml can be written on their own keys or as single-line inline flow maps with quoted values.
