What it does

Price Alert is an aeon skill: Fire when the tracked token does something - new ATH, sharp 1h move, or operator-set target crossed. Silent on normal days. Like every aeon skill it is one SKILL.md prompt file that runs unattended on your own GitHub Actions, on a schedule or when you trigger it, and sends what it finds to Telegram, Discord, Slack or email.

Scheduled daily digests are calm summaries. Real moves need real-time signal. Three classes of move are worth a same-day ping:

  • New all-time high. The single most narrative-shaping price event a token can have. Worth marking on the timeline regardless of size.
  • Sharp 1h moves (±20%). Either a buyer wave or a liquidation cascade - both change what the operator does next (post about it, watch for follow-through, check the chart).
  • Operator-set target crossings. The operator may want to know when price clears $X (often a personal stretch goal or a level tied to a tweet/launch). One alert per target per direction.

Everything else is noise not worth a same-day ping.

Input: the var setting

Every aeon skill takes one optional text input, var, set in aeon.yml or typed in when you run it by hand. It picks the target or the mode for that run.

Optional. Pass one or more target_price levels (comma-separated USD numbers, scientific notation allowed) to fire a one-time alert when the price crosses any of them. Empty = only ATH and sharp-move gates run. Pass dry-run to skip notify (state still updates). Pass set-target:<price> - the shape the Telegram force-reply sends (step 7) - to register a target and get a one-line confirmation.

What it needs

No extra API keys or MCP servers. It runs on the model you connected to aeon (a Claude subscription token, an API key, or another login).

Install and run it

Easiest: open Aeon Connect, sign in with GitHub and turn on Price Alert. No clone, no terminal. To add it to an existing aeon repo from a shell, run:

bin/add-skill aeonfun/aeon price-alert

Then switch it on in aeon.yml (the default schedule is filled in):

skills:
  price-alert: { enabled: true, schedule: "*/30 * * * *", var: "" }
