What it does

PR Triage is an aeon skill: First-touch triage for external pull requests - verdict, label, and a welcoming comment within minutes of open. Like every aeon skill it is one SKILL.md prompt file that runs unattended on your own GitHub Actions, on a schedule or when you trigger it, and sends what it finds to Telegram, Discord, Slack or email.

External PRs that sit unanswered look unwelcoming. This skill is the first touch for every external pull request - it reads the diff, applies a structured rubric, posts a comment with a verdict + rationale, and labels the PR so a human reviewer can pick it up with full context. It is not a substitute for pr-review (depth) or auto-merge (execution); it is the welcoming layer that runs before either of those decide whether to engage.

Input: the var setting

Every aeon skill takes one optional text input, var, set in aeon.yml or typed in when you run it by hand. It picks the target or the mode for that run.

PR scope. Accepts owner/repo, owner/repo#N, or empty (all watched repos). If empty, scans every repo in memory/watched-repos.md.

What it needs

No extra API keys or MCP servers. It runs on the model you connected to aeon (a Claude subscription token, an API key, or another login).

Install and run it

Easiest: open Aeon Connect, sign in with GitHub and turn on PR Triage. No clone, no terminal. To add it to an existing aeon repo from a shell, run:

bin/add-skill aeonfun/aeon pr-triage

Then switch it on in aeon.yml (the default schedule is filled in):

skills:
  pr-triage: { enabled: true, schedule: "30 9 * * *", var: "" }
