What it does

Deploy Prototype is an aeon skill: Generate a small app or tool and deploy it live to Vercel via API. Like every aeon skill it is one SKILL.md prompt file that runs unattended on your own GitHub Actions, on a schedule or when you trigger it, and sends what it finds to Telegram, Discord, Slack or email.

Your task is to ship a small, self-contained prototype that someone could actually use in the browser today.

Input: the var setting

Every aeon skill takes one optional text input, var, set in aeon.yml or typed in when you run it by hand. It picks the target or the mode for that run.

What to build and deploy.

  • Empty → auto-select from recent signals (articles, logs, memory topics).
  • Plain text (e.g. market heatmap) → interpret as a build brief.
  • Typed form type:slug description (e.g. tool:market-heatmap volume heatmap of top-20 tokens, viz:tx-graph, api:summarize, landing:startup-idea) → use type to bias shape and slug as the deployment name.

What it needs

Besides the model you connected to aeon, Deploy Prototype uses the following. Add secrets as GitHub Actions secrets on your aeon repo, or in Aeon Connect.

  • VERCEL_TOKEN - optional secret, unlocks more data or features
  • GH_GLOBAL - optional secret, unlocks more data or features

Install and run it

Easiest: open Aeon Connect, sign in with GitHub and turn on Deploy Prototype. No clone, no terminal. To add it to an existing aeon repo from a shell, run:

bin/add-skill aeonfun/aeon deploy-prototype

Then switch it on in aeon.yml (the default schedule is filled in):

skills:
  deploy-prototype: { enabled: true, schedule: "workflow_dispatch", var: "" }
